It’s Some Kind of Wonderful…

no I’m not talking about the 1961 song by the Drifters (written by Carole King) but something else that is reminiscent of that age of innocence. How many of you remember eating graham crackers and milk at grandma’s when you were growing up? Well, we have something for you that will take you back to those good ole days…

Yes, UMP Graham Cracker has arrived and it’s a hit right out of the ball park!! Home Run! Now that’s not just my point of view or team Beverly’s, but from Beverly users who were the first to try our new UMP flavor, “Graham Cracker”, right out of the gate!! The feedback has been nothing short of stellar! We worked for months to create a flavor that is palate perfect. Our team of super great Food Chemists strategically assist in creating our vision of the highest quality protein and desired END taste/flavor. We never settle for just OK. We understand and stick to what is important in creating a Protein supplement that doesn’t just meet the specs, but one that flies high with flashing lights! We know it takes time to create a masterpiece and test sample after sample until we get it all right. Protein quality comes first and the correct macronutrient ratio, but that’s just the beginning. Here are a few of the fine touches that we test for – creamy mouth feel and overall flavor/sweetness on all parts of the tongue. Is there any after taste? We’ve sampled other products which smell great initially, but when you mix it with water, the flavor nearly disappears. We make sure it smells great and retains that great flavor when it is mixed. HOLLY SCHULTZ

Congratulations to Holly Schultz, the Overall Figure champion at the NPC 2017 Powerhouse Classic. Holly is a PT assistant and full-time mom. She started lifting 7 years ago, but made a common beginner’s error. She was also an avid runner and had a very difficult time adding muscle until she cut back on her running. Another error she made was trying to cut her fats too low on her contest diet. She has since perfected her nutritional program and includes fats in her diet while moderating her carbs. Holly’s favorite recipe is protein pancakes. To make the batter she blends together ½ cup oats, ½ cup cottage cheese, 3 egg whites, a scoop of UMP, and some cinnamon. Then cooks it just like a normal pancake. She tops her pancakes with some PB2 and sometimes adds blueberries or raisins. During contest prep Holly uses UMP protein pudding as a late night snack. She puts 1 scoop UMP into a bowl and stirs in just enough water until she gets the consistency she wants. She writes, “The new graham cracker flavor is like eating a piece of cake. You feel like you are cheating on your diet, but you aren’t! It’s great!”

FROM DAY ONE …

Roger and I have always tried to help others on their personal fitness quest. I guess that’s really what keeps us motivated!! I saw a post on IG the other day and it read like this, “For some of us it’s way more than just lifting, it’s one of the BEST things in life we’ve discovered and we are proud to be a part of it.” The gym and weight training has been the key to most of our lifelong relationships. People seem to begin at the gym learning the ropes, then they add supplements and better nutrition follows. Together, our life started by lifting weights together. We got to know each other, push each other past our limits and work to reach and surpass goals. Every time we had a milestone of a lift, we tried to be there for each other to see it happen live!! We built a life and a business together from those very early times. Heck, we even met in the gym, the best man and maid of honor in our wedding trained in the same gym. One thing for sure, we RESPECT everyone who has made weight training a part of their life and recognize the time investment, discipline and sacrifice it entails. We’ve both been beat up from the weights. Roger’s joints have taken a REAL beating… However, it’s never occurred to US to just live the rest of our days without training. It’s in our blood and it’s what we do. Support your friends, family members, and especially your spouse if they are training to better their life and overall health. I remember going in for my goal bench and just having Roger stand in a certain area near the bench gave me extra strength. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s real. Be there for your loved ones.

He’s a past bodybuilding competitor, has a degree in Exercise Science and is a certified Golf Performance Coach. He instructs golfers at all levels from age 8 all the way up to those preparing for the PGA Tour. Mike has used Beverly since 2006 to stay fit for the game! "Today I am fit and literally live bodybuilding. I train as much as possible and Beverly International has been one of the most important parts of my journey. Here’s how it all began… weighing in at 314lbs, diagnosed with diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and a list of pills was the scare of my life. I had hit rock bottom. I literally sat and cried in my car, devastated with the news, unable to even drive. My wife, Debbie had to drive me home from the doctor’s office. I was afraid I was going to die. My nephew, Mick Souza, was a former bodybuilding competitor (the 1992 Mr. Universe) so I called him for advice. Frank’s Supplement Plan

UMP: every day – all day. I use it on my oatmeal or grits in the morning, mixed as a pudding after work, and again before bed. It keeps me from wanting to eat all night like I used to do.

Lean Out: 2 capsules 3x’s per day.

7-Keto MuscLean: I stack it with Lean Out

– 3 in the morning at breakfast, and then again 3 more around mid-day.

Quadracarn: 3 tabs 3x’s a day (I personally upped my dose).

Mass Amino Acids: Usually about 16 a day, (4 tabs 4x’s a day); they seem to help a great deal in musclebuilding and recovery.
