I’ve been active in fitness and sports almost all my life. In my 20’s, I stayed in decent shape working out at home in the basement. I may be dating myself, but back then I used aerobics video tapes and some small dumbbells. Well, my decent shape became more and more indecent. When the scale read “220 lbs”, I had to do something. So I bought a trial gym membership at a school auction. Eighteen months later, I was down to 135 lbs and getting ready to compete.
Since then I’ve accomplished overall championships at the 2009 NANBF Gateway Naturals – Masters Figure, 2015 NANBF Diamond Figure Championships – Open Figure, Memphis Muscle Showdown – Masters and Open Figure. I have also received a pro card through the IFPA (International Federation of Physique Athletes).
My Lifestyle Nutrition: I often hear people mention their diet. I consider this a “lifestyle”. I do most of my food prep on Sundays to take all the guessing out of what I’m going to eat through the week. I cook breakfast and dinner fresh daily. All of my other meals are prepped and ready to go.
